'Craft'y Kids Pt.1a

Ellen Dugan proposed the idea for a cute Litha craft project: painting stones/rocks to identify garden items!  Upon reading the directions, I thought to myself, "wow this could be a really nice afternoon project with my daughters!" I've done things like this many times growing up but never thought of applying them to my Craft (to label herbs or vegetables). It's simple, affordable, crafty, and all-ages friendly. Here is a sample image I found on Google Images:

The girls helped me make lunch today and now we're going to start doing some Litha-themed arts and crafts! Expect pictures later! :)

  1. This...is...brilliant! I could totally do this when I start my herb garden which will hopefully be soon. It's not too late is it? I'll try anyway.

  2. You would usually start indoors (if you start with seeds) and then move them outdoors. We're still in the "zone" for planting but do so soon! Which are going to be planting?

    1. I don't remember what seeds I have. I know I have lavender, sweet basil, actually those are the only ones I have right now. I was thinking...thyme, rosemary, sage, cilantro, Any suggestions?
